Thom Wells

Thom Wells is the Founder and Operating Director of Journey Of Discovery Dive & Adventure Travel. He has been actively working in the dive and travel business since the mid Seventies. Thom has organized and escorted groups to dive destinations on six continents. As a leading expert in diving, Thom has taught with CMAS, YMCA, NASDS, SSI, DAN, PADI and has been an Instructor Trainer. He is currently a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, certifying hundreds of divers from entry level to professional levels. He was awarded the Platinum Pro 5000 Teaching recognition in 2005, having certified over 6243 divers at various levels, in addition to his Platinum Pro recognition as a diver having logged over 10,000 dives in his career since 1969.

Thom has led numerous public and private expeditions throughout the world and was a Special Ambassador on behalf on the Secretary-General of the United Nations along with, being the expedition leader for the United Nations Environment Programme. Thom gained worldwide recognition for his Masters Of The Arctic expedition and exhibit at the United Nations in 1989.
